I found out about this campground in Good Sam's Trailer Life 2009, and I RV camped there in October 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
This was a Brevard County campground. While it did not have the ammenities like a pool or clubhouse, it was very well planned out. The sites were large and the landscaping was nice. They planned this campsite on their county grounds that also had a ballpark, amphitheater and various ponds and lakes.
The campers were protected from the general public.
Pros: Very nice landscaping. We parked right in front of a fishing pond and had shade also.
Cons: Nice lots, although they were just lawn spots, no gravel or cement to level camper.
Nearby attractions: Melbourne Beach and Naples beaches. There are various malls and a dog race track nearby. Try the Firehouse sandwich shop and the Longhorn Steak House - great food!
Further comments: These lots were very inexpensive, about $25 a night. They only have water and electric - no sewer at your site. They are improving the A campground now to include water and electric. Camp here, if you do not like to be crowded in side by side with other campers.
