Love Me Like I Love You
My name is Hydee and I am an outdoor, female Labrador Retriever.
I love my owner very much.
I sit beside his lawn chair listening to his complaints about his hard day at work while he pets my head and sips on an adult beverage.
I clean up his mess when he drops a rib-eye steak on the patio deck after burning his hand on the grill fork.
I cruise the swimming pool cleaning up leaves from the surface of the water for him.
I announce when a stranger is on the other side of the fence.
During the summer, I like sleeping under the stars at night, but during the scorching South Texas days I need a place to retreat away from the elements.
When winter arrives, I need a cozy place to call my bedroom.
Love me like I love you.
I visit daily, through the fence, with a beautiful rottweiler puppy named Lexee.
She was describing her new dog house and it sounds wonderful.
It is a Garden Dog House with a shuttered window that opens up for more ventilation.
It even has a door flap to protect her from rain and bugs.
These are both great features for added comfort.
The roof is constructed with waterproof shingle material.
And the rest of the house is made with kiln-dried fir wood with an oil-based stain that features similar qualities as cedar making it pest, rot, weather, and moisture resistant.
It really is a great looking dog house.

There may be one draw back in that I do not know how easy it is to remove the roof for cleaning.
However, the opening is large so Dad might be able to power wash and use a leaf blower to clean and dry the inside effectively.
I'll do my best to keep it clean.

During the summer, I would like my house placed in the shade with the door and window openings facing south for the cooler on-shore breezes.
However, during the winter I want it place in the sun for solar heating but keep the door and window openings facing south so the brittle cold north wind will not blast me.
Also, make sure the house is placed off of the ground for ventilation and to keep my floor dry when it rains.

I weigh 83 lbs and I need a house that will accommodate my size comfortably, but still be cozy.
I want my den size to allow me to stretch out when I am hot or curly up when I am cold.
Sleeping alone I need to us my own body heat to stay warm.
Top my outdoor bedroom off with a water filled cool bed in the summer and a waterproof cedar filled dog bed in the winter.
I am getting so excited.
