Visiting The Sydney Opera House And Looking For Accommodation?

In almost every big city in the world there is at least one iconic feature that sticks out most in people's heads. Rome has the Colosseum, Paris the Eiffel Tower, Edinburgh has the Edinburgh Castle and of course Sydney, which has the Sydney Opera House.

Sydney's Opera House is the most modern of these iconic symbols. This is just one of the main reasons that attracts millions of tourists each year.

With so many people lured to the Opera House and other attractions, it is no wonder that the bed and breakfast industry in this part of Australia is so vibrant. No matter whether you are in the main city centre where the Sydney Opera House exists or out into the suburbs, you'll find that a bed and breakfast in Sydney is very easy to come by.

B and b accommodation is a great option for those who can't afford the luxury of a central city motel or hotel or those who simply prefer the idea of enjoying a homely environment among exceptionally hospitable hosts and friendly, like-minded guests.

The Opera House is the venue for various performing arts companies, such as Opera Australia, the Sydney Theatre Company, The Australian Ballet and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Many visitors to this city will often check into a bed and breakfast and then make their way into the Opera House on foot or by bus or train. Once you leave your bed and breakfast in Sydney and get into the city, you'll find it incredibly easy to find the Opera House. Once you get there, you'll be able to enjoy a wonderful view of Sydney's waterfront, including the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge.

If opera is your thing, then there are plenty of events on at the Opera House in 2011, including Don Giovanni, Lakme, Macbeth, La Boheme and Capriccio. If dance is more your thing, you can go see The Merry Widow – Franz Lehar, British Liaisons and Havana Rakatan.

Having contributed to an online directory of bed and breakfast accommodation, I've found that many people like to spend less on accommodation so that they can spend more on activities and attractions, like the Sydney Opera House. Staying at a bed and breakfast in Sydney also gives you that feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle of city life, even if you are still located close to it. There is nothing better than spending a busy day in a busy city and then heading back to your bed and breakfast to sit by an open fire or relax near the pool.
