How to Make a Cinderella Coach

    • 1). Make a drawing of your design for the Cinderella coach. Since the original Cinderella coach in the fairy tale was a pumpkin, the coach cake needs to have a rounded shape. Add details to your drawing like ribs that run from the top to the bottom of the cake like the ribs on the pumpkin, windows through which Cinderella would look, as well as a perch for the driver. For the wheels, don't forget to add details such as spokes.

    • 2). Find a mold for the Cinderella coach body. A perfect place to start would be a sports ball cake pan that can be used to make basketballs. This would give the proper round shape for the coach's body.

    • 3). Mix the batter for the cake, either from scratch or from a mix, and bake it in the mold. Remember to make one smaller cake that will serve as the base for the body of the Cinderella coach.

    • 4). Assemble the cake. Cut out the middle of the smaller cake so the body of the coach can rest inside it. Frost the cake following the drawings you made in Step 1. Frost four cookies to make into the wheels, and set them in place on the coach. Insert one cookie in the middle front of the coach as a perch for the driver.

    • 5). Make the team and the driver for the coach. In the tale, the fairy godmother transformed mice into horses and a rat into a coachman. It is up to you whether to go with a team that is from before or after the transformation. Use marzipan to create 6 horses or mice and 1 coachman or rat. Add details with frosting.
