A bridal shower is a special occasion leading up to a wedding. That's why the ideas for her bridal shower should be personalized to her specific tastes and hobbies. For the bride who enjoys a fragrant cup of tea, plan a shower that features colorful flowers, floral-printed napkins and personalized cups and saucers from her guests. - Purchase bridal shower invitations in the shape of a teakettle or cup and saucer. Decorate the shower tables with colorful napkins and tablecloths. Insert a small bouquet of fragrant flowers into a teakettle to create a centerpiece. Country Living recommends that you "place one tulip and a menu card at each place setting to make the guests feel special."
- Serve a sampling of various flavored teas, petit fours, scones, finger sandwiches and assorted desserts. Display the food on fine china, silver platters and colorful linen napkins and tablecloths. For tea-themed party favors, give your guests a sampling of all of the teas served at the party. Place the teas in a colorful china cup. Wrap the tea and cup with cellophane and a beautiful floral ribbon.
