Turbulence Training Review - 4 Things Craig Ballantyne Taught Me
Turbulence Training has become one of the most popular fat loss plan online over the past few years.
Over a year ago, I received a copy of the program from its author Craig Ballantyne.
I read the program over and found it very helpful.
In this article I want to share 4 things that I learned from this program (some of which were totally new and some of which just became clearer and easier to do) and have proven to be useful for me in my quest to build the best fitness level and body I could have.
1.
Cardio is not the best way to lose weight - I have been a cardio fan for many years.
I love running myself, although I used to do a lot more of that in the past.
What I learned from Craig Ballantyne is that cardio is not the best way to burn body fat.
He doesn't say that this can't be done.
What he does say is that you can get faster results with other types of training.
What he mostly objects to is slow cardio at a steady pace, the kind which people do when they decide that today they will run or work on the elliptical for on hour.
This is not an effective way to lose body fat.
2.
Short doesn't mean ineffective - Turbulence Training teaches you the power of short workouts.
In the past I used to do workouts that were 90 minutes long.
After I read Turbulence Training (and other programs that also have this view), I realized how I can squeeze a lot of exercises into workouts that are 20 - 30 minutes long.
In fact, some of these workouts are tougher than those which took me 90 minutes.
I just spent too much time resting and talking with people at the gym with those workouts.
Now I can burn lots of calories and have more free time.
Sweet.
3.
I don't need equipment - Craig Ballantyne doesn't say that working out in a gym isn't effective.
However, not having a gym membership or home fitness equipment is no excuse not to train.
You can do a great workout at home using nothing but your body weight as resistance.
In Turbulence Training, there are plenty of bodyweight exercises that can be done at home.
4.
Age doesn't matter - This is something that I actually saw in the testimonials to the program.
Men and women of diverse ages all worked with this plan and were able to burn off body fat and get leaner.
At any age, as long as you're healthy enough to workout and you're willing to do so, you can burn lots of body fat.
