A successful entrepreneur has many qualities that allow them to break free from the pack and do what they truly want to do.
A mix of confidence, persistence, independence, faith in ability, and the ability to block out the negative mindsets of others forms a positive self-image that propels someone to pursue what will make them happiest.
Our self-image dictates every aspect of our lives.
Unfortunately, a lot of that image is cultivated from the words and thoughts of others and low self esteem.
I would like to give an example from my personal life.
I was never happy working in office jobs and I quit 2 of them just to travel not knowing what I would be doing when I got back.
My father would always joke that I was just like my grandmother and I did not have the work gene.
He always told me I should find a rich husband.
Of course he was teasing and did not mean to hurt me but even seemingly innocuous comments from our loved ones can greatly damage our view of ourselves.
I would wonder if he was right.
But it was just that I did not like what I was doing so I had no motivation.
I love my entrepreneurial lifestyle and I have ambition like I never had before.
I just needed to find the right outlet.
Think of your own life and how many times people innocently or not so innocently commented on traits that are perceived as negative in terms of having success in life? Most of our lives are ruled by fear, doubt, and utter falsehoods about the nature of reality and the life we are supposed to live.
Because so many around us live in mediocrity, many of us think that is just how it is.
We look at people who have money or are living unconventional lifestyles as people who are special or must have had special circumstances in their lives that have allowed them to live outside these dreary norm.
True, some people are born into money and have the luxury but many built their dream lives from nothing and they were able to do this because of their self-image.
A successful entrepreneur may or may not have been born that way.
Most likely, they had to do some serious work on their image and faith.
Anyone can do this.
One of our biggest problems is that we constantly reinforce negative personality traits that hold us back.
It is in our power to discard any habit or trait we deem detrimental to our success.
I am not saying it is easy but it is possible if you want the future you desire badly enough.
How many times do you hear people or yourself name the negative aspects of their being and conclude that is just they way they are? It is sad that most people conclude they are just ordinary and meant to live ordinary lives.
A successful entrepreneur sees through this facade that most of us take as truth.
Cultivating a positive self-image and changing negative patterns in our lives is absolutely essential for anyone who wants to become a successful entrepreneur.
This is because the false reality that we are surrounded by will always be giving you reasons to think you cannot do it.
It is vital to know that all we see are just appearances and does not reflect what truly exists.
You need to know that you are as capable of having success, wealth, and happiness as anyone else.
You will need clear goals and ambitions and never doubt for a second that you can have everything you want out of your life.
People who think this way are definitely in the minority so it is vital to put up a shield around you to block out the falsehoods, fears, and doubts that plague everyone else and keep them in their comfortable but unhappy bubble of existence.
A successful entrepreneur goes through life knowing these truths and is able to work through fears and doubts and any perceived obstacles.
