Lungs have a very big role to do in our bodies because it helps in keeping our bodies operating.
Lungs are a body organ used to oxygenate blood for it to be circulated to other parts of the body.
Keeping your lungs healthy is the best and important thing that you can do for a body to remain healthy most of the times.
It is always good and very possible to keep one's lungs healthy and this is by avoiding and getting away from all harmful influences.
The following things are the worst things that can damage our lungs and should extremely be avoided; Smoking: Smoke that comes out of smoking can damage your lungs in a very short time.
Second hand smoke, (inhaling smoke from a person smoking) can also damage your lungs if it is repeatedly inhaled.
Mostly, if the concentration of the smoke is higher than what one's lungs can hold this can cause damage to one's lungs.
For healthy stay in life you should not smoke and if you already smoke stop smoking immediately.
Dust: As with cigarette smoke dust can also damage your lungs.
Dusts from very dry soil and those from insecticides, herbicides, pesticides can damage your lungs greatly.
Excessive cold: Our lungs are very sensitive and if they happen to experience excessive cold they can be greatly damaged because they are not designed to hold excessive cold and this is where you happen to see most children and not even children alone even grown up people suffering illnesses like pneumonia and even bronchitis so, for your lungs to remain healthy and function well, keep your bodies warm and even put on warm clothes in cold seasons because it is very hard to repair our lungs and if damaged they have no spare parts.
It is always good to keep our lungs healthy by stopping smoking, staying away from dusty places and everything that produces dust and putting on warm clothes during cold seasons.
