    Cisco/UNCF Scholars Program

    • Adult black women can apply for financial aid from the Cisco/United Negro College Fund Scholars Program. The program is targeted to sophomores who are majoring in computer science or electrical engineering. As of the 2009-2010 academic school year, the program provided up to $4,000 in scholarship funds to selected applicants. Recipients must meet the 3.2 GPA requirement and attend an eligible school such as Xavier University. Special focus is placed on women who meet these criteria and demonstrate community service.

    Dr. Julianne Malveaux Scholarship

    • The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc. provides financial assistance to select adult black women through the Dr. Julianne Malveaux Scholarship. The scholarship is named for the 18th president of the organization. As of the 2009-2010 school year, the scholarship awarded $1,000 to select applicants. The award is open to sophomores and juniors enrolled in an accredited college or university. The scholarship is only open to women who are majoring in journalism, economics or a related field.

    Ethel Lee Hoover Ellis Scholarship

    • The Ethel Lee Hoover Ellis Scholarship is available to adult black women who are college sophomores or juniors. Applicants must be enrolled in a four-year accredited college. The scholarship is only open to women who are majoring in business. The award amount and number of scholarships available vary based on funding. Students must meet or exceed a 3.0 GPA to be considered for the scholarship. The scholarship is offered by the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc.

    Harlem Globetrotters Scholarship Program

    • Adult black women who are student athletes can apply for financial aid through the Harlem Globetrotters Scholarship Program. As of the 2009-2010 academic school year, the program awarded up to $3,000 in financial aid funds. Students must meet a 2.5 GPA requirement. Applicants who are attending a United Negro College Fund institute and who are college freshmen can apply for the program. The program is open to students majoring in any field.
