How to Move Programs From C-Drive to D-Drive
- 1). Uninstall the existing program.
- 2). Locate the software disc that you used to install the program onto your computer. Alternatively, browse to the website that you used to download the program initially.
- 3). Connect the external drive to your computer by plugging the drive's USB cable into a USB port on your computer.
- 4). Start the program installation. Insert the software disc and select the "D" drive when asked to select where to install the program.. Alternatively, download the software from the internet and select the "D" drive as the drive to save the installer to.
- 5). Complete the installation process by following the on-screen prompts. The program will alert you when installation is complete. Restart your computer by clicking "Start," selecting the button next to "Shut Down" and clicking "Restart."
