Teenagers are always looking for fun attractions to visit with their friends. Luckily for teens in Michigan, there are several indoor water parks located throughout the state. At indoor water parks, teens can ride daring water slides, dodge the current in large wave pools and enjoy other activities such as video arcades and friendly diners. Some indoor water parks even feature a hotel, turning a quick day trip to the park into an overnight stay. - Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark is the biggest indoor water park in Michigan. Located at the Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls, Avalanche Bay is an 88,000 square foot water complex complete with water slides, interactive features and an 800 gallon water avalanche. Several attractions at Avalanche Bay have been especially themed for teenagers, such as the four-lane Downhill Mat Racer slide, the Blizzard Bay activity pool and the Rip Zone, which simulates the perfect surf wave. Teens will also enjoy the Vertigo Cannonbowl tube slide and the South Wall, which dumps water on guests as they try to climb a vertical wall. For a little dry fun, teens can check out the two-story video arcade with over 100 arcade and ticket redemption games. If they need to refuel, teenagers can grab a bite to eat at the Snack Shack in the water park or dine at several full-service restaurants found throughout the resort property. Avalanche Bay is open to the public year-round.
