Charlotte Callin, creator of successful internet company CC bespoke, is talented in all aspecs of arts and crafts, but particularly excels in screen printing. She has always loved working with silhouttes, working well with the stark lines of black and white, but has adopted the eay flow of screen printing to add limited colour to her portfolio. First encountering thiis medium while completing her studies at Southampton Solent University, Charlotte has been quoted as saying. " I have always loved working with silhouettes and limited colour and screen printing has enabled me to incorporate the two in such a way that I can keep any intricate detail but overall end up with a modern looking, clean image." Charlotte has been inspired by Rob Ryan, whose style is very different to hers, but who has a way with layout and typography that really means something to Miss Callin. She also admired the work of Jonny Hannah, who taught her to screen print, and encouraged her to have confidence in her work and push her boundaries, to create daring and strong pieces. Since leaving university, Charlotte has attended local print classes to gain more knowledge of the medium, but also to gain inspiration from the other talented artists around her. She immerses herself with talent and has recently been travelling, to gain further inspiration on culture and form, to work from. "I have noticed a huge difference in my work and watched while my images have become more controlled and mature with select use of colours and line. I feel I have found a style I am comfortable with and enjoy, therefore I am going to be proactive and continue to produce more work of this calibre to enhance my portfolio and continue to push the boundaries with my
designs
