There are various rules, regulations and protocols that must be followed and each state, even every city, has its own guidelines. This private property towing permit also sets up rules and regulations having to do with how much a tow truck company can charge for its services and how different vehicles are to be towed.
- When it comes to the tow trucking industry, an operator license is like a driver's license that certifies that the operator of a tow truck has met rules, regulations and guidelines and is allowed by the state to operate a tow truck. This is important both for those who are driving and operating the tow trucks as well as those who are doing business with the operators because it proves that the tow truck driver is a professional. Don't get caught driving or operating a tow truck without an operator license.
