Where To Stay In Boracay Island

103 17
Boracay Island Philippines is a beautiful tropical island from top to bottom.
The whole island is paradise and you can't really go wrong when booking a hotel in Boracay.
But there are some areas which are nicer than others.
With over 10 beaches in Boracay to choose from, this article will help make sure you have the perfect paradise holiday by selecting the right area for you.
Certain areas of the island are lively, while other areas are completely tranquil and quiet, some of the beaches are even private since the 5 star hotels moved in, some of the beaches are pure white sand while others are made of shells.
Our first recommendation is you get a hotel on the white beach, Boracay's main beach.
If you've ever seen a postcard of Boracay or if you have a computer with windows millennium installed (i know, very old) and set the computer to ''paradise'' background then you've seen white beach.
Stay anywhere between station 1 to 3 as this is where the sand is pure white and lined with coconut trees.
The majority of hotels are located around station 1 and 2, if you want more privacy try to find a hotel in station 3 area as this is much more tranquil.
Most of the hotels are located directly on white beach but some are located several hundred meters back from the beach so check first the exact location of your desired hotel, personally we think staying a few hundred yards off the beach is fine if the hotel has much cheaper rates than the beach front resorts.
We don't recommend you stay in hotels on the main road unless you're on a tight budget because it removes the Boracay feel from the experience, stay as close to the beach as possible.
White beach is just an absolute perfect paradise, lined with palm trees, clear blue water, beautiful corals, cafes, restaurants, bars and hotels ranging from 3 star hotels to 4 and 5 star resorts.
On this side of the island the water is usually completely flat and clear during high season (around November - May).
The whole white beach is pretty much the same from north to south, although some say station 1 part of the beach is slightly nicer.
The white beach is about 7km of pure white sand.
You can walk in the sand from one end of the island to the other in around 20-40 minutes.
There's also a hard sand path under palm trees with plenty of cafes and restaurants along the way to keep you refreshed.
Diniwid Beach, Balinghai Beach, punta Bunga beach & the end of station 1 white beach are where the Boracay Island 5 star hotels are located.
This is the premium part of the island and is very secluded, peaceful and private.
If you're on a honeymoon vacation or a romantic getaway then staying in a hotel in this section of Boracay might be best for you but it will also be the most expensive.
D'mall (Boracay's outdoor mall) station 2 is where the action is at, this is where people go to watch the world go by, to eat, drink, enjoy the buzz of the area.
This area is busy most of the time and at night time there is great nightlife in this section.
A lot of the younger people prefer this section.
Station 3 of White beach is a very quiet area, usually cheaper and its the emptier part of the island which a lot of people like.
Where ever you decide to stay in Boracay Island, its hard to go wrong.
