Seed Paper Instructions
- 1). Tear your chosen paper into 1/2-inch pieces. You can use any type of non-glossy paper. Place your torn-up paper bits into the blender. Fill the blender halfway.
- 2). Fill the blender within 1 inch of the top with warm water. If you want to add some additional color to your finished paper, you can also add a bit of colored tissue paper. One square inch of tissue paper will lightly tint the paper the color of the tissue paper. If you want a more vibrant color, add additional tissue paper.
- 3). Blend on low speed for 20 seconds. Increase the blender's speed in four-second increments until your blender is on its highest setting. Continue on the highest setting for 45 seconds or until the contents are smooth and pulp-like.
- 4). Remove the blender canister from the base. Remove the lid and add one to two pinches of wildflower seeds. Use only flat seeds. Stir the seeds into the pulp with a wooden spoon.
- 5). Set a wire mesh strainer over a large bowl. Pour the contents of the blender canister into the mesh strainer and use your hands to press the pulp. This will force out any excess water. Pour the water out.
- 6). Place a large piece of flannel or felt on your work surface. Empty the solid contents of the mesh strainer onto the fabric. Press the pulp into a flat sheet. The thinner the sheet the quicker it will dry. Use a dry sponge to dab the surface of your thin sheet to press out additional moisture.
- 7). Leave your paper to dry overnight. To expedite the process, you can also use a house fan to blow it dry. Once the paper is dry, remove it from the flannel.
