How to Optimize Windows Vista for Audio Applications
- 1). Click the "Start" menu, type "Mmsys.cpl" in the Search box and press "Enter" to open the Sound dialog box.
- 2). Select the "Playback Devices" tab. Double-click on the "Speakers" icon, which opens another dialog box.
- 3). Select the "Advanced" tab in the Properties dialog box. Check both boxes in the Exclusive Mode section, which allow audio applications to take control over the sound card settings in Windows Vista.
- 4). Click the "Apply" and "OK" buttons to save the changes and close the dialog box.
