Kiba's entire pack was slaughtered when he was young but Kiba was spared by the fire that consumed his forest. He was raised by a Shaman who showed him his purpose.

He sets off in search of Paradise after the Shaman instructs him to do so and it is Kiba in fact, that is the key to opening Paradise. Kiba is the leader of the wolf pack and assumes human form when he believes it will help him find the Lunar Flower.
