How to Make a Dirt Dye Shirt
- 1). Mix water and dirt together in a bucket to create a mixture roughly the consistency of a milkshake. Stir vinegar into the mixture. Put the shirt in the bucket.
- 2). Soak the shirt for several hours. Stir frequently with a wooden spoon.
- 3). Wring the shirt. Rinse with clean, cold water to remove most of the mud.
- 4). Dry the shirt in a hot dryer. The heat will help the dye set.
