Holidaying in caravan parks offers you and your family a wonderful way to have a relaxed, fun holiday while taking in some of the great outdoors.
Caravan parks can be all-encompassing and include within their boundaries all of the entertainment you will need for a week's stay; shops, sports facilities, night time entertainment and more, but it's probable you will want to explore the surrounding area too, especially if the weather is nice.
There are so many beautiful parts of Britain to explore that you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding where to stay.
If the great outdoors appeals to you and you love to get close to nature and enjoy long energetic walks in natural surroundings, you could head to Wales where you will find an abundance of mountains and valleys to explore.
A plus point about caravan parks is that you're often allowed to bring along pet dogs, meaning you can take spectacular walks with them through rolling countryside and go for lazy summer picnics.
If stunning forests are your thing, why not take a break near the Forest of Dean, which was the first national forest park in England and is also the largest oak woodland.
Located in between the River Severn and the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the area has spectacular scenery and lots of things to do to keep you entertained.
The Peak District is one of the most stunning and diverse areas in Britain, and is well worth considering for a break away.
Lying in central and northern England, most of the Peak District is to be found in Derbyshire, but parts of it also lie in Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire and West and South Yorkshire.
The Peak District National Park is the first National Park in Britain and the second most-visited National Park in the world.
The area boasts peat-covered, rugged moorlands and limestone dales and hosts some beautiful picturesque villages along with equally pretty and interesting towns.
If you've never taken the time to explore East Anglia, then why not book a break in one of the many wonderful caravan parks in Norfolk and explore the Norfolk Broads? This intricate network of canals and surrounding area, including parts of Suffolk, is the largest protected wetland in Britain and has national park status; perfect for spending some quality family time in the great outdoors.
Wherever you want to spend your holiday, there are fantastic caravan parks all over the country that will not disappoint.
