How to Host a Meeting

A powerful way to grow your network marketing business is to get your new prospects to a meeting with other current business owners in order to have a presentation about how your business plan works. Your prospects will get a chance to meet some of the other people that are in your business and what kind of people are having some success. However, you absolutely must make sure to put on a good meeting or else your efforts may have the opposite effect and become a source for negative feedback about your business and company.

1.A Leader Must Be Showing the Business Plan Even if you have to import someone from out of state you must make sure that the presenter is someone with a decent level of success in your business. This will lend credibility to your business. Also, this experienced person will be able to quickly and easily handle some of the tough questions that new people will ask.

2.Business Attire is a MUST All men should be in suits and all women should be appropriately dressed in either a business suit or nice conservative outfit. All guests that have been invited should know ahead time and should be encouraged to adhere to the dress code.

3.Focus on Front of Room The existing members of the business team should have already gotten to the meeting room early. Typically, if you are already in the network marketing company, then you should arrive 20-30 minutes before the meeting starts. When the doors open up to the meeting room all the veterans should be hanging out at the front of the room. This will keep the focus on the front and not the side conversations that can happen in the rear.

4.Put all guests in front row All guests should be escorted to the front row of seats. Do not ask them where they want to seat because they will typically want to sit in back. Tell them that you are expecting a big turnout tonight and that you want to make sure they don't miss anything.

5.Introduce Guest Speaker Make sure to have someone else introduce the guest speaker and have them say something that will build up the credibility of the speaker. You might say something like "Bob has a background as an engineer but he also has one of the fastest growing distribution businesses in the country that he has built up working only part time outside of his full time occupation.." Or something like that.

6.Put information in hands of Guests Don't let your guests get out of the room without putting some more promotional materials in their hands to either read, watch or listen to. And be sure to set an appointment within 48 hours to get your information back and to go over any questions they might have.

Running a consistent meeting for new prospects is one of the keys to having a lasting and truly residual network marketing business. Ideally, the people on your team will eventually be able to run their own meetings and they you will have duplicated yourself out of a job which is the whole point of building a network marketing business in the first place.
