EMT's on the other hand are certified in performing at a state level care.
These people are often identified based on their level of certification and skills such as basic, intermediate, or paramedic.
In order for The EMS to do their job, there are certain types of uniforms and gear that each department is required to carry.
A lot of EMS workers will be seen wearing Class A or Class B type uniform shirts along with button down fronts, 2 chest pockets, pressed collars, and military creases.
Dark blue, and white shirts along with dark blue or black pants are what an EMS professional, will at often times be seen wearing.
Their pants will contain several pockets to hold their necessary gear.
They will carry items such as gloves, stethoscopes, flashlights, pen and notepads.
They will carry other items that don't all fit in their pockets in a type of bag or backpack.
You will be able to spot an EMT also wearing a metal name badge, as well as the EMS logo and patches to identify their position.
