How to Make a Fabric Bulletin Board With Ribbon
- 1). Cut a length of fabric that's 2 inches longer on every side than your bulletin board. For a bulletin board that's 18 inches by 24-inches, cut your fabric so it's 22 inches by 28-inches.
- 2). Lay the fabric on your table face down. They lay the bulletin board over the fabric, centering the bulletin board on your fabric. Cut the corners of your fabric on the diagonal at a 45-degree angle, making one cut for each corner.
- 3). Plug in your hot glue gun and wait for it to heat up.
- 4). Cover one edge of the back of your bulletin board with a thin, even layer of hot glue. Then fold the fabric over the back and press it onto the glue. Hold the fabric over the glue for a minute until the glue dries.
- 5). Repeat this process with the other three corners to secure the fabric to the bulletin board. Then turn the bulletin board over to apply the ribbon.
- 6). Roll the ribbon across the bulletin board on the diagonal, stretching it right across the center of the bulletin board. Leave a 1- to 2-inch tail so you can glue the ribbon to the back of the board. Apply a thin layer of hot glue to the bottom of the ribbon then press it to stick the ribbon to the board.
- 7). Create another ribbon strip 3 to 4 inches from the first ribbon. Apply it in the same manner. Work in this manner until you've covered the bulletin board in one direction.
- 8). Apply either the same color ribbon or contrasting color ribbon going the opposite way to create a diamond pattern. Begin again in the center and follow the same spacing pattern.
- 9). Turn the bulletin board over and hot glue the ribbon tails to the back of the bulletin board to finish your ribbon layer.

Unplug the hot glue gun and allow it to cool down thoroughly before storing it.
