Often times it is not the sheer strength of your skills, grades and past job performance. You will be just out of school with a 4.zero GPA or transitioning from a sales position that gave you too small of a challenge. Certainly an employer would love to own you as a half of their team... right? While it's additional troublesome to find employment than within the past, you confidently lay your skills out on a resume and submit it to as many firms as you'll find... hoping one will stick.

The factor most people miss is that there are a number of variables in the task hiring process. These will be anything from the actual fact that the employer is trying for a "fit" in their company vs. the most experienced and smartest candidate...or that each employer contains a unique vision for what it means to work at ABC Company and most candidates fail to take the time to tailor their initial proposal (resume and cowl letter) to indicate the employer that he/she is aligned with the match and the vision of the company.

Ask yourself why this employer would want to require the time to speak to you... and don't leave anything sensible out! Usually times your mind fills within the gaps while you write your resume....rather than letting the resume do the initial talking for you. This employer knows absolutely nothing concerning you and you have to make sure to send the right message at the first attempt. Unless you place along a whole canvas that's visually appealing to the employer...shows that you'll be the proper fit for the position and therefore the company...and demonstrates that you have got the horsepower to excel at their company (beyond the position listed)...you've got a ways that to go before placing employment gold.
