    • 1). Open the fuse panel under the steering column. Pull down on the fuse panel to remove it.

    • 2). Pull the fuse for the radio using the fuse pullers in the fuse panel. Use the fuse diagram on the underside of the fuse cover to locate the fuse for the radio.

    • 3). Check the fuse for the radio. If the fuse is blown, replace the fuse with another fuse of the same amperage.

    • 4). Turn on the stereo in your Ford. If you hear any vibration or distortion, you may have a damaged speaker. Shut off the radio.

    • 5). Pry the speaker covers off of the suspect stereo speakers and inspect the center speaker cone for any damage. You will be able to see a visible rip in the cone if the speaker is producing a distorted noise or vibration (or if there is no sound coming from your speaker). Replace any damaged speakers.
