How to Design a Friendship Wheel
- 1). Use the compass to draw a 3 to 4 inch diameter circle on the cardboard. Draw a 1 inch diameter circle within the larger circle using the same center point. If a compass is not available, use any round object 3 to 4 inches across to trace a circle around, and a quarter for the smaller circle.
- 2). Cut the circle out of the cardboard along the outer line.
- 3). Line up the ruler across the middle of the circle and mark both edges. Turn the cardboard 90 degrees, lay the ruler across the middle and mark the edges. Make four more marks around the edge, each half-way between two of the original marks. You will have eight evenly spaced marks when you are finished. You can continue making up to 32 evenly spaced marks along the edge for more complex bracelet patterns.
- 4). Use the scissors to make a 1/4 inch cut at each of the marks, cutting straight toward the center of the wheel.
- 5). Poke the scissors through the center of the wheel, then cut out the inside of the smaller circle.
