Make Weight Loss a Fun Journey to Success - Not a Battle Against the Bulge

If life really was a river and we were the journey along that river, then I can only imagine in today's environment and with our current lifestyles that we are only swimming against the tide instead of going with the flow and enjoying every moment along the way.
I think in our quest to find perfect or even near perfect health and wellness, we have got very serious along the way and to a certain extent, I agree, we need to look after our body, after all it's all we really have in this world.
However, with joining gym's, getting personal trainers and buying every latest weight loss book that comes on the market it has turned the very simple message of being healthy and well into a matrix of information that only Neo from the Matrix is capable of decoding! I want to ask you some simple questions today and see how many of these questions resonate with you.
My first question to you is, "If you visualise the times in your life when you have been successful at losing weight and increasing your energy, were you having fun along the way?" Yes, I understand that sometimes there is a no pain no gain mentality required, but overall the journey of weight loss should be a fun one.
So "were you having fun when you were winning?" My next and very simple question to you is "When the benefits stopped along that weight loss journey, how were you feeling at that time? Were you still motivated? Were you still having fun, or had the fun stopped!?" As a wellness professional I see literally hundreds of clients every year on a one to one basis and tens of thousands of people at seminars and workshops and it's almost so simple that I feel bad writing an article on this topic but, of the 100% of people who I see, the ones who commit to having fun along their specific weight loss journey lose weight so much easier and effectively.
Whereas for the many people who I see and they go, "I'm just so stressed, no matter how hard I try I cannot lose weight.
I just look at food and put 2lbs on," it is rare that without a change in mindset that they are ever on my testimonial list saying how they feel a decade younger! Fun is the essence of life and Richard Branson, multibillionaire/entrepreneur simply states, "If it isn't fun, don't do it!" I completely agree.
Now, I can write a ten page article on the science behind having fun to get to your results and many of my articles are full of NLP, holistic health, clinical nutrition and various other FUN and highly informative messages, yet, for today, let's keep this simple and effective.
Don't just commit to being healthy and losing weight - Also, commit to having fun along the way.
You will come across challenges, there will be days where you feel you are sinking instead of flying, however that is all part of the FUN, all necessary to give you the skills to become the person who will feel amazing, be at their ideal weight and manage to stay there, without the use of wonder drugs or other methods I won't mention.
So, if you are reading this because you are looking for the best weight loss tips and the best strategy to hit the weight gain gene on the head, well, number one forget the hitting on the head, you are not required to do that.
However, commit to making your weight loss journey the most fun you have ever had and only then, you are onto a winning formula.
In closing, combine fun with nutrition, exercise, detoxification and consistency, the world will be your oyster! I wish you nothing than the best success along your own personal journey.
