How to Make Egyptian Head Pieces
- 1). Measure the circumference of your child's head, using the measuring tape. Record the measurement.
- 2). Cut a 1 1/2-inch wide strip of flannel backed vinyl. Make the strip length 2 inches longer than the head circumference measurement. Set the strip aside temporarily.
- 3). Cut a 6-inch tall shape from the poster board to represent a cobra lifting its head. Bend the cobra head forward, if desired.
- 4). Paint both sides of the cobra with gold glitter paint, using a paint brush. Allow the snake to dry completely.
- 5). Lay the vinyl head band, facing up, on a flat surface. Place the cobra on band's center point. Staple the snake to the band.
- 6). Drape the fabric over your child's head, striped side facing up, letting it fall to the shoulders.
- 7). Wrap the head band comfortably around the fabric on your child's head. Position the snake on the center, front of the head. Staple the head band ends together, securing the head piece.
