WoW Warlock Guide - DoT Magic Specialists!
Warlock Guide Overview Warlocks are one of my favorite classes to play in WoW.
They've always had a great look about them and Blizzard created some pretty awesome tier sets for Warlocks that are quite unique.
The Warlocks are just a great class to play as well with some awesome abilities.
The Warlocks draw there abilities from the schools of Fire and Shadow damage and also have fear spells to their send their opponents running.
Every Warlock is also equipped with a demonic pet.
Different pets can also be summoned by Warlocks for different gaming scenarios.
Imp Fel Hunter Fel Guard Succubus Fire Golem The Warlock is more strategic in battle compared to some of the heavy hitting classes.
The Warlock obtain a lot of DoT (damage over time) spells, which is a huge advantage when combined with the Warlocks fear spells! Warlocks must be quick off the mark in battle and dealing various DoT spells to gradually drain their opponents health whilst preventing opponents from attacking with fear spells is one great fighting tactic that can be deployed with a Warlock.
The Warlock is also able to drain enemy souls and use those souls to empower the their own spells! All the while, the Warlocks demonic pet will be running round like a lunatic beating upon opponents.
As well as the Warlocks DoT spells, they also have some pretty impressive AoE spells.
As a mixed class Warlocks also have some other specific abilities such as Ritual of Souls.
The Ritual of Souls ability alone is pretty unique as it allows the Warlock to create a Soulwell which allows all party and raid members to obtain a Healthstone.
A Warlock also has the ability to create a Soulstone which they can use on themselves or even other players, if the other player were to die then he would have the ability to resurrect.
Another ability the Warlock which is worth mentioning is their ability to summon other players, which can prove to be very handy, especially at later levels in the game.
The Warlock has 3 talent trees which all pretty much focus on damage.
WoW Warlock Guide -Talent Trees Affliction Demonology Destruction The Warlock is also quite a versatile class and responds well to hybrid mixes of builds.
Warlock builds are beyond the scope of this Warlock guide, but the end result will depend on how you want to play the Warlock, for instance leveling a Warlock or maybe PvP scenarios.
For a nice Warlock leveling build you would want to concentrate on the Affliction tree for level 1-70 and then the Demonology tree for levels 70-80.
With a variety of DoT spells at their disposal they are truly a great class and a lot of fun to play.
More hands on than some of the other classes but that all adds to the excitement for me.
Warlocks aren't particularly easy to level at first, but once a player reaches level 30 with a Warlock, they should be in cruise control and leveling steadily to 80.
