Our skin is the supple outer covering of our bodies.
It is made up of multiple layers of ectodermic tissues that protect our internal organs, skeleton and our muscles.
Human beings do not have the same kind of skins.
They differ on the basis of their respective structure.
Knowing what type you have is important if you want to keep yourself looking good and your skin healthy.
Most of the people have problems finding what kind of they have.
Knowing your skin type will allow you to use the correct products for your skin which will result in better results.
Males usually have skin that is thicker and tougher than females.
There exist five different types of skin among human beings.
They include normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive skin.
Normal skin has a soft and smooth surface and a fine level texture.
It has the perfect balance of moisture and oil contents.
Its pores are small and hardly noticeable.
Dry skin has a dehydrated look and forms flakes readily.
Dry skin is unable to retain moisture because of the inadequate secretion of sebum by the sebaceous glands.
It has problems in colder part of the year and ages faster than normal skin causing wrinkles and lines.
Oily skin is characteristically greasy although the amount of greasiness varies.
This is caused by over-secretion of sebum by the sebaceous glands.
It is known to trap dust particles from the environment and is prone to pimples, spots, black heads etc.
It is hardly ever clean and it needs cleansing to keep It healthy.
Combination skin is the most common type of skin.
It is characterized by some parts of the skin being oily and some dry.
The greasy part is known as the T-Zone and it includes the forehead, nose and chin.
Sensitive skin has a fine level structure but it is responsive to changes in the weather.
The degree of responsiveness varies from skin to skin.
It is recommended that people with sensitive sin should use the least amount of products with colors and perfumes to avoid their skin getting irritated.
