How to Make Transparent Background in Paint
- 1). Click the Start button and select "Programs" from the Start menu.
- 2). Navigate to the "Accessories" folder, then click the "Paint" icon. This will launch the MS Paint program.
- 3). Click on "File" from the top menu and select "Open" to browse and open the image you would like to edit.
- 4). Click "Color 2" on the menu bar.
- 5). Use the eye-dropper tool to select the background color from your image. The color that you indicate as "Color 2" will be the color that becomes transparent.
- 6). Click the "Select" button on the tool bar to choose your selection method from the drop-down menu. Choose to select a rectangular area or a free-form area.
- 7). Click "Transparent Selection" under the "Selection Options" to place a check next to it.
- 8). Left-click and drag your mouse across the image to select a section of your image.
- 9). Hold down the left mouse button on the selection to move the selection around within the original image. Any color that you indicated in the "Color 2" box will become a transparent background within the new selection area.

Edit your image and click the "Save" button to save your changes.
