Electrolux Washer Troubleshooting Tips
- 1). The washer must be connected to a working power supply. Reset the circuit breaker, if necessary, and do not attempt to use the washer by connecting it to an extension cord. This will not supply sufficient electrical power to the washing machine.
- 2). Verify that the water supply valves are turned on if the washer is not filling with water. Clean the water inlet hoses of any obstructions and straighten out any kinks in the hoses.
- 3). Adjust the position of the washer if it is vibrating during use and ensure that all four legs are touching the floor.
- 4). Add items to the wash load if the washer will not spin. This usually is caused by washing too few items at a time, which leaves water in the drum.
- 5). Measure the drain hose standpipe if the washer will not drain. The standpipe should not stand more than 8 feet above the floor. Lower the standpipe if necessary and ensure that the drain hose is clear of obstructions and kinks.
- 6). Run an additional rinse cycle if suds remain in the washer. Only use a high-efficiency, low-sudsing detergent formula.
