How I Use Articles to Boost My Web Site Traffic by 200%
I have used articles and article marketing extensively as part of my internet strategy.
It is probably my primary form of traffic, and on some days my traffic is 10x (that is 1000%) more than it would be without it.
Although I use PPC advertising some, I find that the quality of the leads generated by my article writing far exceeds the quality of PPC leads.
Obviously 200% is a number that, although it is about right for me (in fact it is probably much higher when I count the natural search engine traffic I receive), may be higher or lower than the figure you might receive when you begin writing articles.
Also, the quality of your articles will impact that number.
If your article is of high quality and on a popular topic, it may be picked up by an ezine or online newsletter, creating massive traffic immediately.
So what do I do? 1)I write articles on topics I am familiar with and can offer information that others can utilize to improve something about their life.
2)I chose headlines that I believe are interesting enough to create interest, and also adequately describe what I am writing about.
3)I include a back link to my site at the end of the article, or place it in a bio box, depending on the nature of the article directory to which I am submitting.
This allows readers to click through to my web site to learn more about me, if they so choose.
One thing I like about articles is that if someone doesn't like me or my style, that is OK, they just close the article and move on.
If they like me, they click through to my site and there is already some trust built.
I am not paying for clicks like I do with PPC, whether they like me or not.
I believe that one fact accounts for a lot of my success.
The articles serve as a screening device for visitors.
4)I submit the articles to a number of online articles directories.
To find a few, simply do a search on Google, or shoot me an email and I will send you a list of my favorite.
