How to Remove Glue From a Rubber Stamp
- 1). Purchase a stamp scrubber, a flat plastic case containing foam sheets, along with a stamp cleaner from a local craft or hobby store. Popular manufacturers include Stampin' Up, Stampendous and Inkssentials.
- 2). Spray your dirty stamp with stamp cleaner.
- 3). Rub the stamp in the foam. The combination of the rubbing motion, the stamp cleaner and the foam will remove glue or ink on the rubber stamp.
- 4). Rub your stamp on a dry part of the foam to remove any remaining cleaner.
- 1). Pour a small amount of dishwashing detergent onto a toothbrush.
- 2). Wet the toothbrush with a small amount of water.
- 3). Scrub your stamp with the toothbrush to remove the glue.
- 4). Repeat steps 1 through 3 until all the glue is removed.
- 5). Dry your stamp thoroughly after washing.
- 1). Find an accessory or tool in your craft caddy or storage space, such as a hobby blade, a rubber adhesive removal square or a paper piercer.
- 2). Hold the tool in one hand and the stamp in the other.
- 3). Rub the dirty stamp with the tool, gently digging into the fine nooks and crannies of the stamp to ensure that you remove all traces of the glue.
