Choosing Your Ideal Summer House

103 16
You may have set your heart on purchasing a new summer house for this summer, however before you go rushing out to buy one you should make yourself a checklist of exactly what features you require from your summerhouse, and most importantly write down exactly what you are going to be using it for prior to even looking at any models at all.
Writing out a checklist should be an essential part of your purchasing process as if not you may be tempted to purchase a model that is unsuitable for your requirements and find that there is very little that you can do about it at a later date should the model you choose prove to be unsuitable.
As an example you may go out to visit your local summer house dealer only to find a much larger model than you really wanted on sale at a very good price, that may push you into purchasing it.
However when it is installed you may find that it is far too big and absolutely dominates your garden and looks completely out of place, at which point there is very little that you can do about it other than trying to sell it and purchase a smaller one, both of which will cost you a great deal of wasted money.
Firstly whilst it is good to have a summer house with plenty of room, bigger is not always better and if you are planning on using it all year round as a home office as an example, then you may wish to heat it in the middle of winter and as it is likely to be impractical to run it off your main central heating system you are likely to have to install electric heaters, which will be more costly to run.
This can prove to be a very expensive form of heating if you have a large area to heat and therefore you may find a smaller model of summer house is more practical when you take into account heating it in winter.
So as you can see if you do not think carefully about which model you are choosing you may purchase something that is unsuitable for your long term needs and costs far too much to keep warm, or always feels cold when you are working in it due to lack of suitable heating.
So I would highly recommend writing out a checklist detailing exactly what you want to use your summer house for, and what features you are looking for in it, prior to making any purchase.
