Hey there, my name is Jonesy. I'm here at the constructive media studios in San Diego, California and today I'm going to show you how to move Apple mail to an external hard drive. The first thing you're going to want to do is open up Apple mail which I've already done here and then you're just going to make sure you are in the box, the mailbox that you would like to export to send to the external drive so I'm just going to send my inbox. I've just clicked on a message within my inbox and I'm going to go ahead and click on mailbox, go ahead and choose export mailbox, click that and a little drop down window appears here. I'm going to go ahead and scroll down to my external hard drive, which is called jagged here and I'm going to go ahead and make a new folder and I'll just call this Apple mail and click create and so I've already chosen that, obviously I'll click choose. Alright and it's done so I'm going to just show you that I've done that. I'm going to double click on my jagged hard drive icon there. I'm going to go down to Apple mail, I'm sorry I missed that I'm going to go to Apple mail and there's my icon there, there's my file. So that's it.
