Unstoppable Business Success - Part 2

103 16
In my last article on becoming unstoppable in your business, we looked at how crucial identifying your Purpose is for achieving success in business.
If you truly want to achieve success in business, it is crucial that you align your business goals to your Purpose.
In this article, let's talk about the second quality of Unstoppable people: Passion.
If your sense of Purpose is the planet you are ultimately destined for, your sense of Passion is the rocket fuel that will take you there.
There is a great, if slightly disdainful quote by Andrew Carnegie that says it all: "People who are unable to motivate themselves must be content with mediocrity, no matter how impressive their other talents.
" Why is that? Is it because if they cannot run around all day with a big grin on their face - like the Cheshire cat on steroids - that's all they deserve? They don't deserve success, they only deserve mediocrity? No, of course not.
It is quite simply this: Passion fuels an inexhaustible supply of energy.
Whilst working with the Law of Attraction may be crucial to aligning your energy and manifesting your dreams, there is only one law that is going to deliver those dreams to you: the Law of Action.
And action requires energy.
In her book, Unstoppable, Cynthia Kersey writes: "When purpose ignites the spirit, it generates an inexhaustible fire that burns in the heart of every unstoppable person.
That fire is Passion.
" Your passion has got to burn so brightly that it has the power to illuminate your purpose no matter how dark the night.
Because the darkest hour is the hour before dawn.
How many people have given up just before the sun rose on their success? Get this: Nobody in this life ever became a huge success in business by giving it a halfhearted effort.
I am not just talking about 'making a living' here, I am talking about achieving success beyond your wildest dreams.
Success happens because you have an inexhaustible supply of rocket fuel to power your dream, to keep on going, on track and 'on Purpose'.
"Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things.
" (Diderot).
Let me give you an example of how next to impossible it is to keep going when passion has left you.
Have you ever changed your mind in life? Have you ever got halfway along a path and then given up, not because it was too tough but because you suddenly realised that the crock of gold you thought was at the end of that rainbow, was no longer there.
Maybe circumstance had stepped in and moved the goalposts.
Or maybe as you progressed you outgrew your original goal.
Your Purpose shifted.
Either way, suddenly you felt the fire go out.
The passion that was fueling all of your actions spluttered and finally died.
And your motivation to continue died with it because you felt that there was no more point.
The equation is simple: No passion, no motivation; No motivation, no point; no point, no action; no action no results.
But asides from providing the motivation that will elevate your dream, passion serves one other great purpose.
And that is: Passion, real, raw, burning passion, will attract others to you like a magnet.
Have you ever felt yourself inexplicably drawn to someone, a complete stranger, because their energy was so positive, you could literally feel them walk into the room? Well, just as you feel yourself attracted to those people, success will be attracted to you.
It is a vibrational match.
"Catch fire with enthusiasm and people will travel for miles just to watch you burn".
Rev.
Charles Wesley.
Life without passion is not very exciting and working a business without passion is downright soul-destroying.
You know instantly when you are feeling less than passionate about your life or your business, because everything becomes a bit of a struggle.
You feel like you are 'living for the end of the week'.
The solution? Stop, redefine your Purpose (see my previous article) and then look at the road you are currently on and make sure it is the right one.
If it isn't, then switch course.
It may be that a slight course correction is all you need to realign you with your Purpose.
You will know once you are back on track because you will find yourself once again pedaling with passion.
And you need to be pedaling with passion because your success in business depends on it.
"The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire.
" Marshall Foch.
