Regardless of how good of a seller you are you will need to establish a rapport with any potential buyers.
It is almost impossible to have an effective business relationship with your buyers if the rapport is missing.
So what exactly what is rapport you may ask, well it is not something that is easily defined.
Some people think that it is being friendly with each other, it is more about knowing that you two are on the same page.
Anyone will tell you that having a good rapport is about knowing that the two of you are moving in the same direction as far as coming to a mutual ending in business is concerned.
First impressions are vital in the building of a rapport with your client.
If you approach a potential buyer and things do not go smoothly then the opportunity to establish the rapport will quickly disappear.
At this point the chance to build a rapport will be a lost cause.
You will now have to go back and try and reestablish the lost rapport.
So the question you may be asking is how do I build rapport with a potential buyer? This can be done in several ways.
One of the simplest ways is when you visit them at their house go out of your way to point out and compliment certain things in their home that you like.
Another way is find out what their personal likes in certain things are.
Is there a particular sports team they are a fan of.
A way to build rapport with a buyer is simply invite them out for a beer, many a business deal has been finalized over a beer in a nice bar.
Invite them out for a dinner again this trick has led to many a business deal.
While you are touring their house you can make idle talk about various things, avoid talking business at first.
You do not want to come across to the buyer that all you are there for is to sign a deal and that they are just money to you.
The process of building a rapport is a long and tedious one.
Hopefully if you give the opportunity for the rapport to grow you and any potentials buyers can enjoy a long prosperous business relationship.
