How to Reset a Latch
- 1). Examine the electronic unit to be treated. Connect it to a computer or electronics reader if necessary to determine the current latch condition. Determine the type of input necessary to trigger the electronic hardware to perform.
- 2). Use the computer or electronics reader to reset the signal latch from 0 to 1 or 1 to 0, depending on the current status (there is only one choice).
- 3). Test the electronic hardware with the input again. Note the difference in performance by the electronic hardware using the new latch configuration. Detach the electronics reader or computer and use the hardware as necessary.
