How to Put QuickTime Videos on an iPod Touch
- 1). Go to your "Applications" folder and open QuickTime.
- 2). Select "File" from the top menu bar, then select "Open." Locate the QuickTime video that you want to add to your iPod touch and click it. Click the "Open File" button.
- 3). Select "File" from the top menu bar, then select "Export."
- 4). Click the tab next to "Export" to choose a format, then select "Movie to iPod" from the drop-down menu.
- 5). Click to select a location on your Mac to save your exported video then click the "Save" button. Depending upon the size of your QuickTime video, the export process may take several minutes.
- 6). Click the iTunes icon in your Dock. Alternatively, you can access iTunes through your "Applications" folder.
- 7). Click the Finder icon in your Dock to open a new Finder window. Locate the exported video in the location you chose. Move the Finder window to a position on your Desktop where you can still see your iTunes music library.
- 8). Click the video to select it. While still holding your mouse, drag the video to your iTunes library. Release your mouse when you see the green "+" sign to add it to your iTunes library.
- 9). Connect your iPod touch to your Mac and sync it to add your video. If you use the automatic updating feature, clicking the "Sync" button will import it to your iPod touch. If you use the manual management feature, drag the video and drop it into your iPod touch's music library.
