Tips on Straightening Hair
- 1). Use a round brush when blow drying your hair. The round shape will allow you to concentrate the blow dryer on each portion of the strands as you move down the hair shafts. A round brush will also lend to a smoother look than if you used a standard flat brush.
- 2). Point the hair dryer's nozzle downward when you blow dry your hair. This will smooth the hair follicle so hair appears straighter and shinier.

- 7). Smooth hair with a silicone-based shine product. Since heat is most commonly used to straighten hair, it can tend to have a dulling effect on strands. Apply a shine serum or lotion to the top layer of your hair in order to boost its appearance.
- 8). Treat your hair to a deep conditioner once a week. Leave the conditioner on your hair for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing it out. This will give it plenty of time to fully penetrate your locks.
