How to Repair the Rear Wiper on a 2001 Toyota Celica
- 1). Check the function of the rear wiper. If the wiper does not operate normally, shut it off.
- 2). Pull the wiper blade and arm away from the rear hatch window until the wiper locks in a vertical position.
- 3). Use the nylon-bristle brush to clean away any debris around the base of the wiper. Any obstruction that has lodged itself between the rubber protective cap and the wiper linkage could impede movement of the wiper system.
- 4). Spray a liberal amount of a rubber-safe cleansing agent (available at any auto-parts store) onto a cleaning rag and wipe down the rubber wiper blade. This will help to prevent chattering of the blade.
