How to Enter Safe Mode on a Dell Laptop
- 1). Restart your Dell laptop if it's already on or turn it on if it's off.
- 2). Wait for the Dell logo splash screen to disappear and then immediately start pressing the "F8" key every one to two seconds, until you see the Advanced Boot Options screen appear.
- 3). Highlight "Safe Mode" with your arrow keys and then press the "Enter" key to start the laptop in Safe Mode. If you need networking or command prompt support while in Safe Mode, you can choose to boot into "Safe Mode with Networking" or "Safe Mode with Command Prompt," respectively.
