    Wire in Series

    • 1). Cut three speaker wires. Two should be the same length and long enough to reach from the amplifier to the speaker. The third wire only needs to be long enough to reach from one voice coil to the other on the speaker.

    • 2). Connect one wire to the positive terminal on the amplifier. Connect the other end to the positive terminal on one of the voice coils on the speaker.

    • 3). Connect the other longer wire to the negative terminal on the amplifier. Connect the other end to negative terminal on the opposite voice coil of the speaker.

    • 4). Connect the short wire to the open positive terminal on one voice coil of the speaker and the open negative terminal on the other voice coil.

    • 5). Tighten all terminals using a screwdriver or hex tool depending on your amplifier and speaker.

    Wire in Parallel

    • 1). Cut four lengths of wire. Two lengths should be long enough to reach from the amplifier to the speaker. The other two wires should reach from one voice coil to the other.

    • 2). Connect one of the longer wires to the positive terminal on the amplifier. Connect the other longer wire to the negative terminal on the amplifier.

    • 3). Insert the other end of the positive wire into the positive terminal on one voice coil of the speaker. Do not tighten the terminal connection yet.

    • 4). Connect the other end of the negative wire to the negative terminal on the other voice coil of the speaker. Do not tighten the connection.

    • 5). Insert one of the shorter wires into the same positive voice coil terminal as the wire from the amplifier. Connect the other end into the positive terminal on the other voice coil. Tighten the connections.

    • 6). Connect the remaining wire to the two negative terminals on the speaker. Insert one end into the same terminal as the negative wire from the amplifier. Tighten the connections

    Wire Independently with Multi-channel Amplifier

    • 1). Cut four lengths of wire. Each length should reach from the speaker to the amplifier.

    • 2). Connect two lengths to positive terminals on the amplifier. Connect the other ends to the positive terminals on the speaker.

    • 3). Connect the other two lengths to corresponding negative terminals on the amplifier. Connect the other ends to the negative terminals on the speaker. Make sure to connect each to the same voice coil as the positive wire coming from the same channel of the amplifier

    • 4). Tighten all connections.
