Real estate agents can be very helpful or not particularly helpful at all.
If you don't already have a hard-working Realtor to work with, you need to find one.
Some do a lot of promotion for their clients and that is the type of realtor you want.
If you will be doing a lot of the promotion yourself, here are some of the tools you can use to get exposure for your property:
- Yard signs
- newspaper advertisements
- brochures or flyers
- websites
- video tours
- online pictures
- open houses.
It always surprises me when I see a "For Sale" sign in front of a property without a flyer or brochure in a covered box.
Why? Because a prospective buyer will take that flyer.
He or she will be able to look at the details about the property and decide whether it might be the building or home they want.
The address, phone number and contact information are on that flyer as well as a photo to help them remember the property.
