      3 oz. of whole grains, dark green and orange vegetables, dry beans and peas, a variety of fruit, low fat dairy products, baked, broiled or grilled protein such as meat and poultry

    • 4). You can use almost any low fat recipe cook book and find ways to prepare healthy foods using the MyPyramid.

    • 5). You don't have to count calories to use MyPyramid. Your goal is to learn to make healthy choices on a regular basis.

    • 6). You don't have to give up your favorite sweet. Reserve it for dessert after dinner. Or make it a few times a week rather than daily.

    • 7). You can use the MyPyramid website to create meal plans and learn more about good nutrition for adults, kids, and preschoolers.
