(www.GAOResearch.com) has released its enhanced T.38 fax relay software which is fully compliant with ITU-T T.38 fax relay specification while supporting V.34, V.17, V.29, V.27ter, and V.21ch2 standards. This T.38 fax relay software solution can operate within a multi-tasking environment and is optimized for fixed-point arithmetic. It operates on commonly used processors such as TI C5000 & C6000 series DSPs, ARM processors and ADI DSPs and under many OSs available in the market.

This fax relay over IP software allows the transfer of facsimile documents in real-time between two fax terminals over the Internet or other networks by using IP protocols. It has been integrated and tested with fax data pumps that support  data rates up to 33.6 kbps and it works well with transport layer protocols such as UDP and TCP. This fax relay over IP software also features re-entrant implementation optimized for multi-channel support on a single DSP. A "spoofing" function is included to prevent jitter, delay or lost packets.
