La Peau Douce is a fantastic display of the softness of IDOL Vodka, which is distilled from two wine grapes. Here it's mixed with a Muscat wine and rose water for a cocktail with all of the subtlety of a rose petal.

Garnish it with a rose petal for an intimate Valentine's Day drink.

As an update to this recipe, a search in 2013 leads me to believe that IDOL is no longer produced. This is not atypical for small, boutique spirits, particularly vodka. However, that does not discount this cocktail at all, because the vodka-Muscat-rose combination is fantastic. I suggest using a premium vodka that has a very clean profile to replace IDOL.
