How to Install a KN Filter
- 1). Pop the hood of your automobile. Use the support arm to hold the hood open.
- 2). Locate your old air filter in its holder. It is typically located near the middle of the car and on top of all other parts. It is often round but can be square or rectangular.
- 3). Flip back the clips that hold the air filter cover in place. This can be done by hand. Once the clips are all released, the cover can be removed by lifting it upward.
- 4). Remove the old, dirty air filter from the holder. You can simply lift it upward for removal.
- 5). Insert the new K&N filter into the place from which you just removed the old filter. The flat side of the filter should face upward.
- 6). Place the filter cover on top of the filter housing and the new air filter.
- 7). Flip down the clips that hold the filter cover in place.
