If you've been invited to a coed Christmas gift exchange, then you have a challenge before you. You need to select an entertaining, unique gift that both men and women will like, should they choose your gift. There are several ways to hold a gift exchange, including allowing guests to draw numbers, select gifts and steal them from one another. Select a gift within the exchange's budget, and do not be afraid to choose a wacky or a serious gift. - Board games are entertaining gifts that both men and women enjoy playing. Try to get several on sale. Choose both classic games--Monopoly, for example--and new ones. Add creativity to traditional games by choosing updated versions--such as fluorescent dominoes or glow-in-the-dark playing cards.
- The "ugly" Christmas sweater gift most surely will be passed around as guests try to get rid of it in exchange for a better prize. It also will get a laugh. Check at your local thrift stores for Christmas sweaters and vests with Christmas embellishments, such as Christmas trees, elves and Santa Clauses.
- Check at your local old bookstores for a copy of Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol." The book will be a delightful addition to a personal library--epecially for a book lover.
- Fill a basket with homemade goodies--usually a welcome gift at Christmas. Choose this gift if you are good at baking--or are trying to get better. Make a batch of brownies, chocolate-covered pretzels and layered fruit bars.
