You can find much amusement in listening to a person snore but after awhile the amusement turns to annoyance.

A jaw out of position or if you have a stuffy nose could cause a tensing in your throat.

Enlarged adenoids can sometimes cause an allergy.
By curing the allergy with medication you can hopefully get the snoring to stop.
Congestion in the nasal passage can sometimes cause snoring also, because your nose is plugged up you start breathing through your mouth this in turn causes you to start snoring.
Decongestants will help break-up the congestion and keep you from snoring.
If you are obese chances are you snore and that is because fat accumulates in your throat and the accumulation of fatty tissue will restrict airflow and the formation of fat in the stomach area will keep your diaphragm from working properly and this is what causes them to snore.
By exercise and dieting you can lower your weight and get rid of your snoring.
Sometimes snoring can be corrected by simply changing bed positions.
Some people have a tendency to sleep with quite a few pillows, by doing this you are stretching and narrowing your air passage.
By going down to one pillow you can avoid this.
Also try not sleeping on your back because this can cause you to snore.
Changing sleeping positions can sometimes be very helpful in curing your snoring.
Smoking and drinking alcohol could also be a factor in your snoring.
This might not happen directly but could be a consequence of other problems resulting from smoking and drinking.
Try cutting back or quitting altogether this could help reduce or eliminate your snoring.
Mucus in the nasal cavity can cause you to loose sleep and contribute to your snoring.
You might try salt water nasal spray to relieve the congestion in your nose by getting rid of the mucus.
You can purchase the salt water nasal spray at your local pharmacy.
In closing there can be many factors that are contributing to your snoring like enlarged adenoids, tonsils or you might have a sleep apnea problem.
So before starting any type of programs that tell you they can cure your snoring, go see your doctor first.
